Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers notice how movies make fictional worlds feel inhabited. A strong proposal has one clear question, a distinct angle and a useful takeaway for a general audience.
Ideas we welcome
We are interested in original essays about worldbuilding, character habits, meaningful props, screen performance and the construction of convincing scenes. Pitches might explain a storytelling choice, compare distinct approaches, untangle a common misconception or offer a way to watch a familiar kind of scene with fresh attention. Choose one subject rather than surveying everything at once.
What to include
Tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and why the piece is distinct from a general review or plot summary. Name the movie examples you hope to discuss and explain what each one contributes. Flag any facts that need careful verification and disclose relevant commercial interests. We do not accept invented experience, unsupported claims about creative intent or pitches that depend on access you do not have.
How to send a pitch
Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. A concise outline is more useful than a finished article sent without an introduction. Please do not include private or sensitive information. A pitch is a proposal, not a commission, and publication terms would be discussed separately.
